HGTV 2012 Green Home – Serenbe, Georgia

HGTV’s  2012 Green Home is set in one of Atlanta’s neighboring communities, Serenbe in Serenbe, Georgia. This is an amazing community about one hour south of downtown Atlanta. The 1,000 acre community offers homes, townhouses, restaurants, along with unique shops and more.

Jack Thomasson, the house planner for this project, and Linda Woodrum, the interior designer, visited Roswell’s Canton Street Antique Market where I showcased and sold unique items for the home. They purchased many items from me including one-of-a-kind yellow cog wheel lamps and red tractors augers that were also made into a pair of lamps.

Also purchased was an industrial console table made out of scrap metal from a local Georgia artist along with a mirror made from recycled street signs. Four additional pieces of artwork were also used in guest bedroom for the home.

Meeting Jack and Linda and discussing with them the design aspects of this project, gave me great insight to the process of creating and designing the HGTV 2012 Green Home.
